The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down much of Uganda for a very long time but that hasn’t stopped KWCAO from spreading conservation awareness! Schools are still closed but one of our board members, Alice Stuckey, created a brochure to help schoolchildren continue their quest to learn about wildlife. Thank you, Alice!

We’ve also kept in touch with our communities during the lockdown. Our Program Manager, Nicholas, met with two community groups to reenergize our wildlife and environmental conservation partnerships. As he wrote in his July report, “Ihandiro Youth Advocates for Nature and Rwenzori ex-poachers Association were contacted and a brief chat for our continued cooperation shared. Hope and promise for collaboration was registered during our talks.”
